About Grand Oak Healthcare
For over 22 years, Grand Oak Healthcare has been a trusted provider of comprehensive spine injury and pain management care in Northeast Georgia. Originally founded as an evidence-based chiropractic practice by Dr. Doug Giles, our clinic has grown to become the largest of its kind in the region. Dr. Giles' commitment to excellence in chiropractic care laid the foundation for what is now a multidisciplinary healthcare facility offering a wide range of services aimed at promoting healing and improving quality of life for our patients.
At Grand Oak Healthcare, our dedicated team of professionals works collaboratively to ensure that each patient receives the most effective care tailored to their unique needs. By integrating advanced treatments with chiropractic care, physical therapy, and other therapeutic services, we provide a holistic, patient-centered approach to recovery. Our Staff
Clinic Director
Doug Giles DC
Dr Giles is a strong believer in managing musculoskeletal conditions as conservatively as possible. With the rise of opioid misuse and risky surgeries, he feels that many times a sensible, methodical chiropractic and rehab exercise program can alleviate most of these painful conditions. To stay up to date on latest research and newest treatments regarding musculoskeletal conditions, he remains very active in the profession as a National Board Examiner. Dr. Giles also works very closely with his orthopedic, neurology, general practice and physical therapy colleagues for the betterment of complicated cases. If you are looking for a proper diagnosis of your condition and the most effective nonsurgical treatment, Dr. Giles is the one to call.
Life Outside the Practice
Dr. Giles is an avid private pilot, divemaster, outdoorsman and struggling golfer. He focuses his life around learning, physical fitness, working around the farm and spending time with his family. He also enjoys businesses in the insurance industry, medical billing and management services.

Steven M. Thacker

Dr. Steve Thacker recently transitioned from his long-standing Conyers practice after proudly serving the community for more than three decades. He is now dedicating his clinical expertise and patient-centered care to serving patients in the Athens, Winder, and Watkinsville areas. Dr. Thacker is known for his compassionate approach, strong commitment to clinical excellence, and dedication to improving patient outcomes. Outside of the office, he is a devoted family man who enjoys spending time on the golf course and relaxing vacations at the beach.

Alex Morgan, DC
Dr. Morgan is originally from Coral Springs in South Florida. He attended the University of Central Florida then Florida Atlantic University to graduate with his Bachelors of Exercise Science in 2010. He made his way to Tampa Bay in 2011 to attend the Chiropractic Physician program at National University of Health Sciences. The decision to attend National University was due to their strong emphasis on evidence and science based Chiropractic education. Upon graduation Dr. Morgan has worked in various clinical settings with injury and rehab focus integrated with other medical professions. He makes a point to maintain his own strides living a healthy lifestyle therefore allowing him to practice what he preaches. Learning new techniques, skills, and exercises is important to him as he is an advocate for advancing the profession of Chiropractic.
Life Outside the Practice
Dr. Morgan enjoys his time outside the office spent with his wife Sorina and two young boys Jack and Levi. He is into fitness training, cooking and food in general, sports, outdoor activities and working on his golf game. Recently the Morgan’s relocated to Athens to be closer to family and to seek new beginnings knowing Athens and the surrounding area is a great place to raise kids.

Antoine Brooks, DC
Dr. Brooks is originally from Lafayette Alabama. He attended Alabama State University where he received his bachelor's of science in 2011. He made his way to Life University in 2011 where he majored in Chiropractic.
He always wanted to help people, but wanted to go in a holistic direction. Dr Brooks has worked in a variety of clinics where he treated athletes, babies, personal injury patients and more.
Life Outside the Practice
Outside of the office, Dr. Brooks loves to spend time with his lovely wife, Felicia and his daughter Serenity. In his spare time he reads exercises and watches college football. Dr Brooks recently located to Loganville for a fresh start.
