Shoulder Pain Treatment in Athens, GA

At Grand Oak Healthcare, we do much more than adjust the spine. Our chiropractors provide

conservative, non-surgical treatment for shoulder pain, rotator cuff injuries, shoulder

impingement, muscle and tendon problems, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal

conditions. Because the shoulder is one of the most mobile joints in the body, pain can develop

from injury, repetitive activity, poor movement patterns, muscle imbalances, or problems

involving the surrounding muscles and tendons.

Our approach to shoulder pain treatment may include Active Release Techniques® (ART), soft-tissue therapy, joint mobilization, stretching, and individualized rehabilitation exercises. ART and other hands-on therapies can be used to address tight or painful muscles and soft tissues surrounding the shoulder, while targeted rehabilitation focuses on improving range of motion, rotator cuff strength, shoulder stability, and proper movement of the shoulder blade (scapula). Strengthening the rotator cuff and the muscles that control the shoulder blade can improve function and help the shoulder better tolerate work, exercise, sports, and everyday activities.

Shoulder Pain Isn't Always Just a Shoulder Problem

The shoulder doesn't function in isolation. Neck mobility, posture, upper-back movement, scapular mechanics, and muscle strength can all influence how the shoulder moves and feels. That's why our chiropractors evaluate more than just the painful area. We look at the entire neck, upper back, shoulder, and upper extremity to identify mechanical and functional problems that may be contributing to your symptoms.

Whether your shoulder pain developed from a sports injury, repetitive work, overuse, rotator cuff problem, or simply the wear and tear of everyday life, our goal is to help you decrease pain, restore mobility, rebuild strength, and return to the activities you enjoy.

At Grand Oak Healthcare, chiropractic care goes beyond the spine. We treat muscles, joints, and movement—helping your entire body function better.
